Introducing the Team

It always helps to put a face to a name! We are delighted to introduce our expert, hardworking team to you. Our publishing recruitment consultants have all worked in publishing or media, have extensive industry knowledge and a large network of contacts. The senior management team here at Atwood Tate have a wealth of previous experience, both in publishing and publishing recruitment.

Karine Nicpon

Lead Consultant

After completing her MA in Publishing, Karine spent a few years working as an Editorial and Legal Assistant in trade publishing in Paris. Since joining Atwood Tate in 2013, Karine has worked across many publishing roles including editorial, production, marketing, sales, design, operations, project management, journalism, product development, etc. She has excellent and broad knowledge of many publishing industries from Academic, STM, Trade, Professional, Educational to B2B Information. Karine believes communication with both clients and candidates is key to understand their needs and deliver a high quality service. Passionate about diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices, Karine completed the Certificate in Recruitment Practice of the REC in 2015.

Christina Dimitriadi

Senior Publishing Recruitment Consultant

Christina has an MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy and started her publishing career in Athens as a Managing Editor for an international not for profit medical association. Soon after moving to London in 2015, she joined Atwood Tate to work on editorial, rights and product development roles in the educational, trade and professional side of publishing. She completed the Certificate in Recruitment Practice of the REC in 2017 and has 5 years of recruitment background, hiring publishing and communications talent for small and large businesses in media, professional and financial services.

Christina believes in building strong, sustainable relationships and enjoys partnering with leadership and talent acquisition teams to help them find the best talent available. Please feel free to get in touch whether you are looking to grow your team or for your next career move.

Claire Carrington-Smith

Senior Publishing Recruitment Consultant

Claire joined Atwood Tate with over ten years' experience of working in client focussed and business development roles in the book industry. She started out as a Floor Manager at Blackwell’s Bookshops before working in various publishing trade sales roles at Octopus, Usborne and DK, and latterly as Special Sales Manager at Bloomsbury Publishing.

Keen to transfer her excellent relationship management and knowledge of the industry to a new challenge, Claire joined Atwood Tate in 2017 recruiting for all vacancies outside of London. Claire is now a Senior Publishing Recruitment Consultant working across all roles nationwide.

Lynne Willoughby

Director (Marketing and Business Development)

Lynne joined the board of Atwood Tate in January 2011 to help grow the business, to become the leader in publishing recruitment for permanent, contract and temporary roles.

Lynne has many years of experience in publishing, working in production for John Wiley in Chichester as well as Blackwell and Heinemann Publishers in Oxford. As a founder and former director of Inspired Selection, Lynne has a wealth of experience in recruitment as well as publishing.

Lynne currently focuses on business development, marketing and advertising within Atwood Tate.

Jo Bowerman

Director (Finance and Operations)

Jo also joined the board of Atwood Tate in January 2011 to help grow the business.

Jo's publishing experience includes production team management for Sweet and Maxwell in London and working in production for Heinemann Publishers in Oxford. As co- founder and former director of Inspired Selection, Jo has a wealth of experience in recruitment as well as publishing.

Jo currently focuses on finance and operations within Atwood Tate.
