A global publisher in Oxford, are looking for an Inventory Analyst to provide critical analytical support to the teams responsible for ensuring books are available across the globe, in print and digital formats.  You will be using your  analytical mind and ability to analyse large data sets to help our client make the appropriate decisions on how they stock books. This is a permanent role starting ASAP.

Key duties:

Reporting to the Head of Inventory, the key responsibilities are:
  • Management of print and digital assets at warehouses and aggregators across the globe
  • Providing analytical support to production processes including file conversions and book manufacturing
  • Effective management of stakeholder relationships including distributors and aggregators
  • Maintenance of supporting metadata and systems
  • Ensuring the appropriate purchasing and supply decisions are made for books inventory
  • Partnering with the internal stakeholders within manufacturing
  • Track demand, identify blocks, resolve problems and keep customers happy

Experience / skills required:

  • Will have strong analytical skills
  • Excellent Excel skills and be able to analyse large data sets
  • Able to learn new databases and systems quickly and use them efficiently
  • Be able to easily spot trends or outliers within data sets
  • Have good attention to detail and creatively be able to problem solve
  • An interest in the publishing industry is essential
