Job Description
 

This vacancy for a Children’s Publisher offers the opportunity to lead the publishing strategy for licensed global and local own brand publishing programmes at a prominent publisher based in Bath.

Key duties:

  • Drive the creative development and global revenue and profitability for new and existing books
  • Ensure an efficient publishing process is in place from commissioning to delivery of finished product
  • Devise and implement the publishing strategy for licensed publishing
  • Encourage a creative and collaborative environment to generate ideas for new formats and products
  • Maintain knowledge of consumer trends within licensing and children’s products
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling team budgets
  • Motivate and lead staff and maintain a strong, creative and efficient publishing team

Experience / skills required:

  • Extensive experience in children’s books publishing
  • Experience of working with licensed properties and global brands
  • An in-depth knowledge of the children’s books publishing market
  • A proven track record of developing profitable global publishing programmes
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate a publishing team
  • Strong commercial acumen and numeracy skills
