Job Description
A not for profit specialising in publishing information provision is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant for 20 hours per week. Ideally working Mon-Fri (Wed and Thurs are office based but there is the potential for working from home on other days). Based in London, this role requires experience of a publishing environment and solid attention to detail in a 12 month fixed term contract. Interviews on 8th or 9th May 2019.

Key duties:

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the manager
  • Take accurate minutes of committee meetings, working group meetings, clinics and other meetings
  • Schedule all meetings
  • Assist in event preparation
  • Ensure the website is always up-to-date with content
  • Add new events and training courses to the website and all admin tasks involved with any courses
  • Ensure regularly post accurate, meaningful content to maintain social media presence
  • Chase-up and track progress on all overdue invoices and ensure statements are issued
  • Telephone and email support for general inbox
  • Stationary and general maintenance for the office

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid administrative experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Reliably and independently meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and able to publish to website
  • Ability to use social media for work
  • Communicate well in a team, verbally and in writing
  • Ideally some prior experience gained in a publishing environment
